The Mountain Board of Cooperative Educational Services works in partnership with ten school districts and the Colorado Mountain College to furnish services which can be more efficiently provided across school districts in order to maximize educational opportunities for Colorado students. Mountain BOCES services include special education, alternative schools and programs, curriculum and staff development, career and technical education, alternative licensure programs, data management and utilization, computer and technology support, cooperative purchasing, and standards and assessment support.

Mountain BOCES serves five Rocky Mountain counties that boast some of the most spectacular territory in the entire United States. Situated in central Colorado, our region is known for outdoor sports ranging from snow and water skiing to paragliding to whitewater rafting to spelunking! Residents enjoy the best of rural living along with world-class art, music, dance, and theatre in towns that offer a range from quaint western flavor to high-end ski resorts. Living in what locals like to call "paradise" offers the opportunity to meet interesting people from all over the world.
